DECATUR, Miss. — East Central Community College swept Mississippi Delta Community College in a doubleheader Friday, outscoring the Trojans 33-11 across two games.

Game 1: East Central 20, Mississippi Delta 2

East Central erupted for 20 runs on 17 hits, sending 17 batters to the plate in a 12-run second inning to put the game away early.

Pablo Roque powered the offense, going 2-for-3 with a home run, a double and three RBIs. Brannon Hill went 3-for-4 with two RBIs, and Davin Lowery reached base five times, going 2-for-4 with a double and four runs scored. Kayden Peoples added two hits, a double and an RBI, while Ryan Nelson drew three walks and drove in a run.

Ryder White earned the win, improving to 4-0. He tossed four perfect innings, striking out five. Wyatt Ford handled the final three innings, allowing two runs on one hit.

Mississippi Delta managed just two runs in the seventh inning.

Game 2: East Central 13, Mississippi Delta 9

East Central collected 20 hits in the nightcap, jumping out to a 7-0 lead after the first inning and holding on for the win.

Mason Hickman led the way, going 5-for-5 with three RBIs. Jacob Wooten went 4-for-5 with two doubles and an RBI, while DeMarkez West and Davin Lowery each added two-hit performances. Pablo Roque stole three bases and Brant Melancon drove in two runs.

Andrew Nielsen picked up the win, improving to 3-1, striking out four over 2.1 innings. Landon Willis started and tossed a scoreless first inning before giving way to the bullpen.
