DECATUR, Miss. — The East Central Community College women's soccer team will take the field in 2025 with a mix of fresh faces and returning leaders, aiming to build on a foundation of intensity and effort.

Head coach Ross said the energy in training sessions has stood out early.
"New faces, the intensity of practice, and returners stepping into leadership roles are things I'm really looking forward to," Ross said.

Among the returners, Jaci Willis brings leadership while Lilli Cumberland sets the tone with her work rate. Newcomers are also expected to make an impact, with Raiyleigh Perry highlighted as one to watch in attack and Meg Miller providing presence at center back.

The Warriors' strength, Ross said, comes from their effort and intensity both in games and practice. But the challenge will be navigating a demanding schedule.
"It's a tough slate, so staying fit and focused throughout the season will be important," Ross said.

As for goals, Ross kept it simple.
"We want to compete in every game and make a playoff run," he said.
