The 2021-22 basketball season is nearly upon us and the East Central Community College Lady Warriors and Warriors are ready to hit the hardwood. Both teams had pre-season action in the month of October, but the season does not officially tipoff until Monday, November 1 as the Lady Warriors travel to Tuscaloosa, Ala. to take on Shelton State Community College who finished No. 6 in the NJCAA national rankings last season. The Warriors are also on the road that day as they travel to Utica to take on Hinds. Both teams play the home opener on Thursday, November 4 as the Lady Warriors take on Hinds, while the men will face the Royal Ambassadors in Brackeen-Wood Gymnasium.

MACCC play does not begin until Thursday, December 2. Scheduling will be the same as last season with the men and women playing the same opponent but in different locations each day. For example, the women's team takes on Pearl River to open MACCC play in Decatur, while the men travel to Poplarville to face the Wildcats the same night. The conference is also completely open this season with every school playing each other one time, rather than rotating through the division with home and away series.
