SENATOBIA, Miss. — East Central Community College put together one of its stronger offensive efforts of the season but dropped a 106-86 decision to Northwest Mississippi Community College on Wednesday night.
Tarrell Doby paced the Warriors with 20 points, while Gaylon Turner added 15 points and four assists. Jaylen Torgusson provided a spark off the bench with 14 points and a team-high nine rebounds, and Keaton Grey contributed 13 points.
East Central shot 39.5 percent from the field and knocked down 10 of 23 from beyond the arc. The Warriors scored 42 points in the first half and added 44 in the second but could not overcome Northwest's 67-point opening half.
The Rangers shot 47.6 percent from the floor and controlled the boards 61-35.
