DECATUR, Miss. — The East Central Community College football team capped its 2025 season with a 27-13 win over Southwest Mississippi Community College Thursday night at Bailey Stadium. The Warriors scored 20 unanswered points in the second half to pull away from the Bears and finish the season on a strong note.

Freshman running back Tyler Arrington opened the scoring with a 21-yard touchdown run in the first quarter, and quarterback Brady Hammonds added a 1-yard rushing score in the third to give ECCC the lead. Kicker Connor Mullins was steady throughout, connecting on field goals from 21 and 44 yards and converting all three extra points for a nine-point performance.

Defensively, Prince Cottonham led the charge with two interceptions, including a 68-yard pick-six in the fourth quarter that sealed the win. Keoni Denny paced the defense with eight total tackles, while Elgin McDuffey added six. Elijah Glover and Delvin Whitaker each recorded a sack as the Warrior defense held Southwest scoreless for the entire second and third quarters.

The victory marked a strong finish to the season for the Warriors, who closed out their home schedule with energy and execution in all three phases.
