East Central Community College (ECCC) is proud to serve as host of one of the NJCAA Region 23 Division II Baseball Tournaments, scheduled for May 5–9 at the Clark/Gay Baseball Complex in Decatur.
The tournament will feature five teams, including Holmes Community College, Southwest Mississippi Community College, Copiah-Lincoln Community College, Jones College, and East Central Community College. Following a play-in game on Monday, May 5, featuring Holmes and Southwest, the double-elimination tournament will determine who advances to the NJCAA Region 23 "Super Regional."
The winner of the ECCC-hosted Region 23 Tournament will go on to face the winner of the Region 23 tournament hosted simultaneously by Pearl River Community College in Poplarville. That "Super Regional" matchup will determine who earns a spot in the NJCAA Division II Baseball World Series, scheduled for later this month in Enid, Oklahoma.
