Title: Director of Sport Performance
Phone: 601-635-6138

Taylor Quick started at EC in 2024 and then took over as the Director of Sport Performance at East Central Community College in 2025. In this role, he oversees the development, implementation, and supervision of comprehensive physical training programs for all 11 athletic teams at ECCC. He also manages the college’s training facilities and leads the performance staff.

Quick holds a master's degree in athletic administration from Mississippi College and a bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology with a concentration in Human Performance from Belhaven University. He is certified through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (SCCC), which is widely regarded as the gold standard in the profession.

With more than 12 years of coaching experience at both the high school and collegiate levels, Quick brings a well-rounded and proven background to the Warrior athletic department. At NCAA Division II Mississippi College, he worked with men’s soccer, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s tennis, men’s golf, and assisted with football and track and field. At the high school level, he helped lead Union High School to multiple state championships in powerlifting. Over the course of his career, he has trained numerous athletes who have gone on to compete at the collegiate and professional levels — including 15 athletes who earned Division I football scholarships.

A former college football player, Quick played offensive line at Hinds Community College, the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss), and Belhaven University. His training philosophy emphasizes athlete health and longevity: “The best ability an athlete has is availability. If they are hurt and cannot play, that does us no good.” His programs are designed to build strength, speed, and mobility, while prioritizing injury prevention and long-term performance.

Originally from Terry, Mississippi, Quick now calls Union home. He has been married to his wife, Casey, since January 2013, and together they are raising four children — Tripp, Bren, Tucker, and Will. Family is at the center of his life, and he enjoys spending his free time making memories outdoors with them. An avid hunter and outdoorsman, Quick believes strongly in the value of hard work, discipline, and faith — values that guide both his personal life and professional approach to developing athletes.
